Rosanne Altstatt
Rosanne Altstatt is an art historian and independent curator. She is a Visiting Scholar in Purdue University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts in Lafayette, Indiana. Rosanne Altstatt was the director of the Edith Russ Site for Media Art in Oldenburg from 2001-2004. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in English and Art History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991 she attained a Magistra Artium in Art History with Theater, Film and Television Studies, and English from the University of Cologne in the year 2000. Rosanne Altstatt was part of the curating team for the Videonale Bonn from 1995-1998 and one of three directors in the non-hierarchal Videonale association from 1994 to 2001. In 2001 she curated and co-directed at Schnitt Ausstellungsraum in Cologne. She has written extensively as an art critic and was a Rhineland correspondent for a number of art magazines. She now writes for numerous publications, lectures and is involved in several selection committees and art juries in all areas of contemporary art.
